One such destination that experiential travelers are flocking to is Clermont Lakeridge Vineyards just 25 miles west of Orlando via the 408-W and 50-W highways.

The short drive over is well worth it. Once there, guests are amazed to find a 127-acre estate situated amidst beautiful rolling hills that are home to one of the state’s finest vineyards. The muscadine grapes that are native to the region have produced over 600 award-winning wines including Noble and Carlos and Welder, as well as Vinifera varieties featuring Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernets, and Petit Sirah.
The Clermont Lakeridge Vineyards boast a 38,000 s.f. Spanish mission-style building where visitors can enjoy complimentary guided tours of the winemaking facility that are offered 7 days per week. The tours run about every 25 minutes, with the last one headed out around 3:45 p.m. The entire tour lasts about 45 minutes including wine tastings and the opportunity to shop for your favorite bottle of wine, gifts, and accessories, or even gourmet food to enjoy along with it.
There’s also a popular Wine & Cheese Bar located upstairs in the wine shop that features wine and beer, live entertainment, and cheese pairings to enjoy with your glass of wine.
According to their website, over 160,000 guests are expected to visit the winery annually to see first hand a facility that produces over 100,000 cases of wine. That translates into over a million bottles of wine per year. That’s some serious winemaking!
Lakeridge Vineyards Events
In addition to its tours and tastings, Lakeridge has become infamous for its monthly festivals, concerts, arts and crafts shows, and events where visitors come to enjoy wine, craft beers, food from the area’s finest vendors, and dancing to live music performed by some of central Florida’s best bands.
A quick look at their upcoming calendar of events shows plenty of reasons to start planning your excursion now:
- February is home to the winery’s 28th Annual Winefest.
- Coming in March is their 10th Annual Wine and Seafood Festival.
- April will bring Blues at the Winery, featuring concerts from the area’s best Blues bands!
- Jazz on the Vineyard Green is on the calendar for May!
- The 1st Annual Food and Wine Festival is slated for June, while the Summer Music Series kicks off in July.
