Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports

If you thought the Atlanta Braves exodus from Spring training was going to signal the end of Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports, then think again. The mega sports complex is cruising full steam ahead with an entire slate of games and events scheduled year round.

Experience Orlando – Training with Champions

It would be hard to argue that the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex isn’t one of, if not the, premier sports facilities in the world. The full complex has ten venues including baseball and softball fields, a basketball arena, football fields, lacrosse and field hockey, tennis courts, track and field venue, an athletic center, field house, and even a golf course.

HP Fieldhouse

The HP Fieldhouse is considered by many to be the crown jewel of the complex boasting over 70,000 s.f. of space including a 5,000 seat arena that can facilitate basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, cheer and dance competitions, and much more. The fieldhouse currently plays host to the AdvoCare Invitational, one of the nation’s premier college basketball tournaments.

Champion Stadium

Champion Stadium is the marquis baseball diamond that plays host to numerous youth tournaments. The stadium, complete with sky boxes and patios, can seat and entertain over 10,000 fans and spectators at a single event.

Visa Athletic Center

The VISA Athletic Center is home to several national championship competitions ranging from gymnastics to volleyball among others, and is also the host site of numerous fitness expos.

The Tennis Complex features ten clay tennis courts, and if you make it to the tournament finals, you may find yourself playing in the 1,000-seat Centre Court Stadium!

Between games and matches, players and fans can grab a bite at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill or do some shopping at the ESPN Clubhouse Shop.
