Hollywood Studios : Toy Story Land Opening
If you’re growing tired of the kiddos constantly asking “Mom, Dad … When can we go to
Toy Story Land!” … alas there’s finally an answer!
It’s been officially announced and the wait is over. On June 30th, lines will begin forming at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see Andy, Woody, Buzz, and the other loveable characters in Toy Story Land!
Toy Story Land Grand Opening Finally Upon Us!
Disney fans across the country got their hopes up following Disney’s D23 Expo last summer that Toy Story Land might open as early as Spring Break because of the progress rate of construction at the time. When that didn’t happen, it was hinted by some that it would be ready to open by Memorial Day.
Whether it be for unforeseen construction delays, or perhaps strategic planning by Disney officials to open the new park later in the summer, that didn’t happen either.
Regardless of the reason, while it’s possible there may be some unannounced “soft openings” or perhaps previews for annual passholders, the official grand opening date of June 30th is finally set for Toy Story fans!
Those who have traveled abroad may know that there are already existing Toy Story Land theme parks in both Hong Kong and Paris. Now Disney fans won’t have to trek near as far as this epic adventure land is set to open in Orlando!
For some who may not be aware of the story behind Toy Story, it is literally a larger than life, or should we say “smaller than life” world where visitors can let their imaginations roam as they shrink to the size of a toy and wander thru “Andy’s backyard” along with fellow characters Woody and Buzz.
Slinky Dog Dash
And what theme park would be complete without a few rides? The most highly anticipated ride at this one is said to be the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster which is waiting to give children of all ages a thrilling ride thru the sky. A couple of other main attractions awaiting guests include Toy Story Mania and Alien Swirling Saucers.
So get ready! You can finally tell your kiddos to “stop asking” and instead start making your family’s travel plans to visit Toy Story Land!
