Universal Studios Orlando® has announced plans for the Celebration of Harry Potter in 2015. This 3 day Harry Potter fan event will take place January 30th to February 1st 2015 (Friday – Sunday). This Harry Potter World Orlando event will feature question and answer sessions with the actors, a Harry Potter™ Expo and live demonstrations.

The Celebration of Harry Potter genre events first started in January 2014. The first artist, Kazu Kibuishi, popularized the Celebration series by attending the very first event at Universal Orlando. He creatively produced the Potter books using his unique artistry.

The 2014 Celebration of Harry Potter World Orlando also featured exhibits extolling the creative efforts of professional costume makers. The costumes were representations of the creative artistry used throughout the Potter series. These exhibitions were a big hit with Potter fans.

Universal Orlando was pleased with the attendance and fan interest with the inaugural Celebration of Harry Potter World Orlando. Mid to late January is typically a great time to visit Walt Disney World® with lower prices and lesser crowds after the holiday season. Universal executives want to build this annual event into a “can’t miss” opportunity for theme park fans. Some of the other popular annual events at Universal Orlando include Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights®, Mardi Gras on select nights from February to June, and of course the Universal holiday activities.
