SeaWorld® Orlando will be hosting “Wild Days” in January to showcase the park’s underlying emphasis on animal conservation. SeaWorld Orlando Wild Days will be held only on the weekends the dates of January 11-12, January 18-19, and January 25-26. These special animal themed conservation events are included with the cost of regular park admission.
Weekend of January 11-12
- “Jungle Jack” Hanna will return to SeaWorld Orlando for an encore visit. Jack is a great ambassador for the critical mission of animal conservation. He tells compelling real world stories and holds an audience spellbound with his knowledge and passion. Kids will especially be thrilled with his presence. Mr. Hanna has appeared on many mainstream popular television shows and is a former Director of the Columbus Zoo for many years.
- Mr. Hanna also has a Central Florida connection. He worked at the Central Florida Zoo on Highway 17-92 in Sanford from 1973 to 1975 in addition to his many distinguished years of service to the field of animal education. In addition, there are a la carte opportunities to meet Mr. Hanna for breakfast and/or dinner on these 2 days.
Weekend of January 18-19
- SeaWorld Orlando Wild Days will return the 2nd week and will highlight the park’s efforts at animal rescue. The park has taken a real beating in terms of Public Relations over the release of the movie Blackfish which presents an alternative darker view of the animal entertainment industry. Many park guests are not fully aware of SeaWorld Orlando’s extensive efforts at animal rehab, but this program should give observers a better look.
Weekend of January 25-26
- SeaWorld Orlando Wild Days will feature Julie Scardina at the park. Ms. Scardina is from San Diego, CA and is currently the Animal Ambassador for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. She has made several appearances on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Matt Lauer, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and other television documentaries. She is also the author of “Wildlife Heroes” a story of the 40 leading conservationists of the 20th century.
