The 2009 Champs Sports Bowl will showcase the Wisconsin Badgers vs. the Miami Hurricane. Champs Sports currently sponsors its namesake college football bowl which pits the ACC and Big 10 against one another. Champs Sports is obviously very satisfied with its corporate affiliation with Florida Citrus Sports and the Miami vs. Wisconsin Champs Sports Bowl should be very entertaining. Wisconsin returns to an Orlando FC Sports bowl for the third time in four years.
Last year, the Champs Sports Bowl drew over 52,000 fans to Orlando for the Florida State versus Wisconsin match-up which was the highest historic fan attendance in Central Florida. The game also had a tremendous television audience. In fact, the telecast was the second highest rated ESPN bowl audience of all time according to FC Sports. Our prediction for the 2009 bowl game is the Wisconsin Baders over the Miami Hurricane in a very close game in the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl.
This year’s game is slated for December 29th at 8:00 p.m. at the Citrus Bowl stadium. More information on tickets can be accessed by going to www.fcsports.com. Proceeds from the bowl games benefit the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation. As an example of the great things the foundation is doing for the greater Orlando community, the organization recently announced that it had donated $1 million over five years to benefit the efforts of at-risk youth attending college. It also hosts things like summer camps to build character and good citizenship for Orlando’s local youth.
