So many of our vacation home guests have made positive comments about Devenney’s Irish Pub in Clermont Fl that we decided to stop in and blather with the Jackeens and enjoy a good cuppa with Celtic cuisine. Top resort communities in Clermont (and Davenport) are just minutes away on Highway 27. In the case of the High Grove subdivision, the pub is a country lane away.
We were not disappointed. The pub food was brilliant and the restaurant was traditional and appealing. Overall, we”ll refer as many of our guests to Devenneys as we can. This is one of the better restaurants in Clermont we’ve enjoyed for sure.
Menu Starters
Highlights of the Devenneys starter menu include Caddagh chicken, Scotch eggs, and the Devenney’s signature platter. My mucker on this culinary expedition enjoyed the Claddagh chicken which is essentially the house wings. Other choices include ‘shrooms, pots of gold, and the homemade soup of the day.

The special local menu includes 10 oz. Steak Diane, New York strip steak, Liver and onions, and the seasoned Shamrock chicken fillet.

As you can see, the sandwiches include some Continental favorites if your dining partner is averse to Irish cuisine. This is a distinctive feature from most other pubs in Orlando.
Irish Specialties
The menu would not be complete without the favorites that make it one of the best Irish pubs in Orlando and Central Florida. These specialties include the pub’s signature Fish & Chips, Corned beef and cabbage, Bangers and mash, Shepherds pie, Chicken pot pie, and a loaded Jacket potato.
Devenney’s also has a 5 item kid’s menu with traditional American and Irish choices.
Entertainment
The Irish pub has daily entertainment, but it features Karaoke on Wednesday and Friday nights, and live entertainers on Saturday evenings. The pub has multiple flat-screen televisions around the bar areas to watch sports such as the Barclays Premier, Europa, and UEFA football leagues plus other live sports.
The pub is located at 16909 High Grove Boulevard on the southern edge of Clermont. It is centrally located between Davenport (to the south) and Clermont. Devenney’s opens at Noon with Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you are looking for a good Irish pub in Orlando/Clermont, this is the place.
